This week, I went back to see Murphy the Jack Russell from Newcastle for our final session.

Iโ€™ve been working with Murphy for 3 months or so now and he has done amazingly! When I first met Murphy, he barked at me during the ENTIRE session. He barked at everything else too, just being outside was more than he could handle and he would bark at people and dogs as far as he could see.

His owners have put in a boatload of work and it has all really paid off for them!

They worked on Murphyโ€™s loose leash walking and focus, as well as spending the first month and a bit just getting him calm leaving the house and in the immediate vicinity, from there we worked on teaching Murphy that good stuff follows people and dogs.

Now, Murphy doesnโ€™t react at people, even got quite excited to see me and came over for some attention, and will watch the odd dog running around but ignores most unless they come within a meter or so.

Their walks are now calm and relaxed, and Murphy and his owners can look forward to these again.

Well done Murphy and co, youโ€™ve all been a pleasure to work with and your hard work has all paid off!
