Jaake has been to see Alfie and his family for their second session today in South Shields.
Alfie is a young male Labrador from working lines and is an excellent example of the breed. His owners have already achieved a high standard of training with Alfie and he is really switched on to learning new skills. He is a pleasure to work with.
Jaake has been working with Alfie to help stop him from pulling on the lead, over-excitement around other dogs, and improving his recall.
Since our 1st session, Alfieโs lead walking has improved massively, he was walking perfectly today on a 30-minute walk for 95% of the time and when he did move out of position he came back into heel on cue really nicely. We also looked at getting Alfie to disengage from other dogs which he was doing nicely and his impulse control training is progressing well.
We looked at taking Alfieโs training into different environments so he is engaging more with his owners when on a walk and proofing his already learned behaviours in my challenging environments.
Well done team Alfie, awesome session today!
