Axl the bulldog

Updated: Mar 3, 2023

Axl the bulldog has been working with our trainer, Bren, on controlling his impulses. When someone comes to their home he is so excited and tends to jump and throw his weight around. He may be small but he packs a punch! So we taught him to wait away from the front door until he hears the release cue "ok!", and that he only receives the attention he wants if he is in a seat or has all 4 paws on the floor. Next, we looked at loose lead walking.

His owners have done great teaching him a heel around the house, now we are leveling it up outside. Axl is learning that in order to move forward, there must be no tension on the lead.

Great work!
