Barky came back for his second session being a new dog! His owner has worked really hard and put the effort in to create positive lasting change. Compared to his first session, Barky was much more confident, focused, attentive and responsive. This radical improvement meant we could quickly start tackling his more troublesome behaviour.
We started with an easier assignment of his behaviour around other dogs. Mostly Barky is friendly but can occasionally be unpredictable. To help his owner manage his behaviour we carefully introduced him to our resident retriever. This allowed us to assess and explain his body language. In doing so, we identified some underlying anxiety around other dogs. On a positive note, Barky has excellent social skills and his owner now has the skills to help Barky feel more confident around other dogs.
