Hey there! Today I met Tug, an amazing Border Collie from Easington Lane with a passion for farm life.
Tug is an incredibly friendly farm-bred Border Collie, but his love for chasing traffic has been causing some trouble for his owner. When larger cars drive by, Tug gets scared and tries to pull back to the house. Plus, he's not a fan of bikes either!
In our first session, we laid the foundation for Tug's transformation. We introduced pattern games to help him focus on something else while becoming desensitized to the environment, especially cars.
Next, we practiced focusing games so Tug can concentrate on his owner while passing by cars. We also addressed his window fixation when cars pass his home.
Tug did an amazing job today! In a few weeks, we'll build on these foundations and start working on his behavior around cars for a successful transformation.
Kudos to Tug and his owner - you're both doing great!
