Denise was back for a second visit with Max the Westie, he's got such a character for a small dog!

We were originally called in as Max would see a red mist around scooters, bikes, and dogs. His owners have been working hard on removing his current stressors and teaching him how to switch off and control his arousal levels in the background.

Today since he was a lot calmer we reintroduced his evening walks, 99% of the time Max is perfect so has never needed a loose lead walking cue.

We training Max "with me" so he knows when he still needs to walk by his owner's side. Since he has a habit of lying down and refusing to move we used reverse psychology to make Max think we were asking him to stay there. Then when we ask him to continue walking he comes running for a treat! (Oh yeah reverse psychology does work on dogs too)

Max and Co are doing absolutely smashing and it didn't take Max long at all to pick everything up.
