𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝘃 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗿

We’ve been back to see Libby the border collie from Washington.

This lovely little lady has a few anxieties but has done super well with her training, including her loose leash walking, reactivity toward cars, and resource guarding.

She has been funny about getting in the car for a while and because of this, doesn’t get taken to all the nice places her owners want to take her, and that also means she’s left to walk alongside roads which has made sorting the car reactivity slightly more difficult.

Today we worked with her on a new car. We taught her that if she moves towards the car, she can then come away and get a treat, then built up to her going into the car and getting her favorite treats in there.

By the end of the session, she was happily jumping in and out.

Our next step is to make her feel comfortable staying there for longer!
