We have Barney the Portuguese Water Dog who was really reactive to other dogs and pulled on the lead quite a bit. He now walks really nicely on the lead, we’ve got him off his head collar and now he’s walking nicely on just a harness. He rarely reacts at dogs anymore and he’s pretty much completely sorted on that. He used to be really bad with Border Collies (check the video in the comments to see him around Border Collies now and this is literally in the last month since we’ve been working with him). Barney is doing fantastic!
We also have Scout the Border Collie. Scout can be reactive to other dogs, but is doing really really well with that. He struggles with recall - it’s really badly poisoned recall cue that he’s got so he doesn’t like to come back thinking that he’s going to be clipped onto the lead, if he thinks that he’s going to be clipped on, he basically completely ignores his owners so we’ve been working on that. We’ve taught him to follow his owners a bit more, to check in a bit more and we’re gradually building up so he comes back every single time and he’s not scared of bad things happening when he comes back.
Then we have Missy The Border Terrier who is doing fantastic. She was reactive at dogs and now she’s just doing great. 3 or 4 sessions in and she’s just being a delight to train. She rarely reacts at dogs anymore, it is very very rare for her to react. There is a video of Missy in the comments too.
