Helping a border terrier to stop barking at other dogs, Meet Robbie!

This lovely little fella is struggling around other dogs. He leaves the home and is already stressed and over the threshold, unfocused and then when another dog comes along, goes crazy!

We are 2 sessions in with Robbie and really getting those foundations in place.

Here is what we have done so far:

Given the time of walks to work on building his focus at home and immediately outside the home.

• Taught him to give eye contact voluntarily

• Built-up his engagement so he automatically checks in when out and about

• Started working on his loose leash walking so he is focused and calm on a short lead

• Began to teach him that good stuff happens when other dogs appear.

Foundations and developing relationships rarely happen in a day, so we are working at

Robbie’s pace helps him understand, reprocess and develop his skills.

Robbie and his guardian are doing fab and he will be sorted in no time
