Loki (runs off to dogs) and Nanuq (pulls on the lead)

It’s been a crazy week back this week! We have done over 20 1:1 sessions, whether phone, zoom or in person, in 4 days to kick off the new year.

Loki and Nanuq started their training plan this week. Loki runs off to dogs and becomes defensive if they aren’t happy with him being there. Nanuq, on the other hand, pulls on the lead and reacts to other dogs while out walking.

Typical GSD behaviors really, but when they’re big dogs it’s not appropriate.

We started with some basic loose leash walking exercises, building up their focus, building on their recall - all the basics, as well as making sure they’re calm and paying attention when they are leaving the house - to get the walk started on the right foot.

These 2 beauties will do just fine, being the clever breed they are
