Maya the Regressive dog

Regression in dog training is normal!



There’s usually a period in most of our cases where there is a little regression on the training. This is normal and instead of panicking that the training isn’t working, we simply take a step back and see what we’ve missed.


Maya was doing great with other dogs but was pushed that little too far at the weekend by taking her to a festival.


I honestly think she would have done fine, had she been given a break for a couple of days after, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.


Maya is also going t---

The answer is simple, give her a few days off to relax again and give her a holiday from anxious behaviors, then reintroduce her to the world with a focus boost, then straight back into counter conditioning.


Maya will do fine and she has a very clued-up owner who also works with dogs.
