Tonight we paid Stanley a visit to help with several struggles, from dog to dog reactivity, resource guarding, and trying to bite his owner's clothes when they leave for work.
Personally, I found this a very interesting set of struggles and it wasn’t the easiest training plan to come up with. However, while drinking coffee and teaching Stanley to lie down, we decided that the first steps were to increase his ability to tolerate frustration, help him control his arousal levels and think when excited as well as build calmness around walks.
Stanley and Co did awesomely! We had brilliant heeling, mat training, trick training for behaviour chains (down and pretty), 2 calmness games, introduced a cue to transform the way he sees dogs, and increased enrichment, all in one session!
Well done everyone! See you in a couple of weeks!
