Old dogs new tricks!

Today we went back to see 11-year-old Shar-pei Nula.

Nula was recently rescued from the Dogs Trust in Darlington. Nula has a bite history and used to react at people and from the other side of roads and then some. I had no doubt that given the chance, Nula would bite someone again given the chance when we first started.

Now, Nula doesn’t react to many people, even when up close. She’s even let people in the house!

We have now switched our attention to dogs, which she was pretty reactive too. Today we put into practice the training when we did some dog training in Blaydon alongside 3 of my dogs, which she did awesome with.

All 3 dogs got as close as Millie is in the video (about 2 meters away) and at times even closer without any issues.

Nula was a case where I wasn’t sure we would ever get this far given her age, history, and health issues, but she and her know owners have done amazing!!
