Patch Staffy Puppy

Jaake has been to see Patch, a 5-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy.

Patch is a super friendly, 100-mile-an-hour whirlwind of a puppy.

His owners have asked for help to achieve a number of training goals they have, mainly recall and loose lead walking, but also need a little help with getting him to be a little calmer.

In this session, we looked at making some adjustments to Patch’s home environment, lifestyle, and daily routine to prevent him from practicing unwanted behaviour, and from there we can then train him to do what we want him to do instead.

Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing on foundation exercises including reflex to name, engagement, hand touch, settle, and drop to set us up to develop Patch’s training further over upcoming sessions.
