Reactive Jack

Yesterday we went back to see Jack. Jack is a panicker. When he sees something like a bike, scooter, or dog, he doesn’t know how to react, panics and either barks or pulls away.

Jack basically needs to learn to look, take a breath, and move on. However, that’s simpler said than done.

So far in his training, he is doing fantastic, he was a meter away from my German Shepherd yesterday with no issues at all except a brief bark when she got out of the car.

While he was walking with her, a kid in a scooter started riding alongside us on the other side of the road, again after his initial bark, he was completely fine.

Gradually we will be able to teach him to think before he acts, rather than bark first and ask questions later. So far he’s doing amazing

Well done Jack and Sally!
