Rennes the border collie sometimes struggles to disengage from dogs and will lie down before lunging if they get too close. Today we stooged with Brenna's bulldog Clipper. We started at a distance, and whenever Rennes disengaged from the circle walking to stare/lie down, Clipper stopped or moved away. When Rennes engaged with his owner, we moved closer, Look at how close we managed to get today without Rennes getting too excited!
He was able to look away from passing dogs without the verbal marker, so this behaviour is fast becoming a new habit for him.
