Resolving Reactivity towards humans with Red the Pharaoh Hound

Red and his owner have been working hard to overcome Red's Anxiety around people and they are getting win after win!

When someone approached Red, he would bark and lunge at them, which, when you have such a stunning dog, can be hard to avoid.

His owner always took Red to dog shows given his rare breed, but this was hindering his ability to do that.

We have been building Reds confidence around people by creating a pattern of our own behaviour when someone talks to him or approaches, this is clearly working for Red since we walked through Blaydon Precinct with a lot of people around and approaching, had a few people smile and talk to Red, he was happy taking food from my hand for the first time and even stopped to chat to the Jehovah’s witnesses there to get some practice in.

Red and his owners are doing fab and his confidence is really growing!
