We’ve worked with Skye and Andy for a while now. for a while now.
Skye was a rescue GSD that had some deep-routed reactivity when it comes to other dogs.
We’ve been chipping away at this for a while now and these last few weeks Andy made the right choice to give Skye some time off.
This is known in the training world as a cortisol holiday and allows dogs (and humans) to relax away from anything that stresses them, whether good or bad stress.
Every dog should have this for a day or 2 every week - no walks, just let them relaxed.
This has worked wonders for Skye, she’s now disengaging happily from other dogs fairly close and loads more focused on her owner.
Well done Andy and Skye!
You’ve both worked so frickin hard!
