Nathan is a really lovely guy and takes time to get to know you, your household, your daily routines and your pets. He’s always very informative and explains things clearly so you know the reasoning behind why he may ask you to train a certain way. My training has greatly improved because of The South Shields Dog Trainer and I’ve already recommended him to several friends.

Excellent trainer

I brought my Lhasa Apso boy to puppy classes shortly after adopting him. At 10 months he was the oldest pup in the class! The sessions were friendly, structured, supportive, varied and importantly fun for the dogs. My dog learned, but so did I as a first time owner. We still use a lot of what we learned today, over a year later. Would totally recommend.

As a fellow professional, I’ve been able to ask Nathan for advice on difficult cases myself. He is always willing to help and give advice as someone more experienced and that’s what makes him great!

I live hundreds of miles away in the South of England, but find the excellent tips and advice The South Shields Dog Trainer posts on social media, invaluable, especially in the current Covid-climate when we can’t easily get to attend our regular dog training classes. Nathan's a great trainer. He has a series of videos online for dealing with different issues we may have with our dogs and it's good advice as I'm a first time dog owner.

Nathan has a series of videos covering all aspect of dog training so you can refresh your training as your pups develop. The face to face training is really helpful and fun

Great dog trainer, adapts training if things aren't working to make sure the training is effective and suited to the dog. Started on zoom call training due to Covid and moved onto 1 on 1 and both is and the dog got loads out of both. Nice bloke as well :)

Their training method is concept based, games based, fear and force free. They do not focus on behaviours only but personalise the training for the given dog’s needs and provide a holistic approach. Classes are fun and the results are real life ready where the dogs learn how they can make good choices for themselves.

Nathan and his team are always available support, guide and share their vast knowledge and insite to help us understand how to be the best pet owner. After helping with my dog i recommend them to a friend who had been told to have her dog pts due to him being extremely nervous and reactive. After a few sessions he is much more relaxed and more importantly alive! Fab team

Nathan is a very talented dog trainer. He is a great advocate for Positive Reinforcement training. He is very knowledgeable, approachable and has a lovely way with both people and dogs.

Amazing technique which works very patient with owners and dogs

We had a one to one session with Archie our lurcher shortly after we rehomed him. Nathan was brilliant with Archie and gave us some great advice to help us with Archie hat we still use to this day.

Nathan has a great personality and gives great incite into dog behaviour and lot of patience with dogs and owners to make life better for the dogs and their owners.
